About Us

LOCAL LAWYERS is the amalgamation of eight prominent suburban law firms:

CLEMENTS HUTCHINS & CO was in Altona for over 35 years and was one of the most successful and well respected suburban law firms during that time. While Peter Hutchins is now retired he continues to be an invaluable source of advice for everyone at Local Lawyers.

PETER BOYLE & ASSOCIATES operated in Williamstown from the 1980s and merged with Local Lawyers in 2008.  The firm developed a trusted name in Williamstown and surrounding suburbs and provided quality legal services for many years.

PERILLO ADAMI & FRANK was located in the Footscray and Hoppers Crossing areas from the 1950s.  The firm was founded by Joseph Perillo in Footscray and operated in Hoppers Crossing from the early 2000s under Valentino Adami and Chris Frank.  Perillo Adami & Frank merged with Local Lawyers at the beginning of 2011. Chris Frank is fondly remembered by the Local Lawyers family.

VICTOR BORG & CO had offices in the Melbourne CBD and in Sunshine. Victor was in practice for over 30 years and was a highly respected member of the community. Victor enjoyed particularly high regard within the Maltese community and held numerous honorary positions over the course of his career.  Victor Borg & Co experienced a successful integration into Local Lawyers in April 2013. Victor is fondly remembered by the Local Lawyers family. 

SIEVERS LEE was itself a merger of Sievers & Sievers and Telfer & Graham, and became a pillar of the Sunshine legal community. Richard Lee was with the firm for 40 years and continues to provide high quality legal advice with Local Lawyers.

GRAHAM LEGAL operated from Mount Alexander Road in Essendon North for approximately 30 years. We are pleased to integrate Graham Legal into Local Lawyers and will continue to provide high quality legal services from the Essendon North office. 

PAULINE MADDEN CONVEYANCING & LEGAL was established by Pauline Madden in Bacchus Marsh in 2010, although Pauline has been providing legal services to the Bacchus Marsh community and its surrounds since the 1980s. Together with Myles Bentley, they remain esteemed members of the community. Pauline Madden Conveyancing & Legal merged with Local Lawyers in November 2023 and we continue to service their loyal clients from the Bacchus Marsh office. 

LOFT & ASSOCIATES practised in Footscray for over 50 years, most recently under the management of Gabrielle Morgan who recently retired from legal practice. Local Lawyers has taken custody of all deeds held in Loft & Associates’ care and are available at any of our three offices to provide our legal services to Loft & Associates’ clients.

LOCAL LAWYERS has combined experience of more than 140 years in providing legal services to the community.
